Course Description

Parent Engagement with AI recognises that schools cannot navigate the AI transition alone. Parents and carers are key stakeholders in decisions about how AI is used in their children’s education, and many have legitimate concerns about safety, learning quality, and data privacy.

This course equips educators and school leaders with the tools to engage parents meaningfully in AI conversations. Participants learn how to communicate about AI clearly and without jargon, design parent information sessions, create accessible resources, and facilitate productive dialogue around school AI policies.

The course also addresses common parent concerns, including fears about cheating, screen time, data collection, and job displacement and provides evidence-based responses that acknowledge complexity rather than dismiss concern.

Parent Engagement with AI helps schools position themselves as trusted partners in the AI conversation, building community confidence and ensuring that AI adoption reflects shared values.
