Course Description

From Chat to Bots: AI That Remembers marks the transition from casual AI use to intentional AI design. Most educators interact with AI through one-off chat prompts, but the real power of AI emerges when it can remember context, follow a role, and operate within defined parameters over time.

This course introduces participants to the concept of custom AI bots—purpose-built assistants that hold system instructions, retain conversation memory, and can be tailored to specific tasks such as student feedback, lesson planning support, or staff onboarding.

Participants learn how to write effective system prompts, define bot behaviour and tone, manage memory and context windows, and test their bots for reliability and safety. The course covers platforms that allow bot creation without coding, making it accessible to all educators.
From Chat to Bots helps educators move from being consumers of AI to being designers of AI experiences, creating tools that serve their unique school contexts.
