Assessment Architecture confronts a hard truth: AI has permanently altered the assessment landscape. Traditional task designs are increasingly vulnerable, and surface-level fixes are insufficient. This course guides educators through a structured review of existing assessment practices.

Participants examine where AI creates genuine vulnerability and where it reveals pre-existing weaknesses in task design. The course moves beyond “ban or exam-only” thinking and instead focuses on designing assessment that privileges reasoning, metacognition, iteration, and process visibility.

Educators learn how to redesign tasks to require live thinking, contextual application, oral defence, staged drafting, and reflective explanation. The goal is not AI avoidance but assessment resilience.

The course also explores how AI can support assessment design itself by assisting with rubric clarity, differentiation and feedback scaffolds, while maintaining human oversight.
